These students would be the first in their family to make college attainment a reality. The goal is to recognize these high-potential students and provide them with more than a scholarship. We want to create opportunities, to take the “unknown” out of the often-intimidating process of applying for admission and scholarships to colleges and universities.
For that reason, we’re now recognizing juniors so we can work with them and our program partner through their senior year to prepare for college.
The Argus Leader will give each scholar no less than $1,000 toward the cost of any university, college or technical institute of their choosing.
If a student chooses to attend Augustana, they’ll receive a $2,000 scholarship in addition to the university’s generous academic scholarships.
